Salatiel celebrates his anniversary in BuEA in Molyko Stadium on 14 Feb. 2025

“We are writing our love story!” ❤️❤️❤️ On February 14, 2025, Salatiel celebrated his 10th anniversary with the Groove Acadaym at the Molyko Stadium in Buea. ��

Salatiel performed his most popular songs from his two released albums “Africa Represented” (2021) and “Family Man” (2024). Together with Cameroonian superstars Petit Pays, Locko, Askia, Blaise B, Rinyu, Muss, Tzy Panchak, Cleo Grae, Vivid, Elysha K, King Luca and Seppo. His collaborations came to life.

A pianist, drummer, singer, songwriter and producer, Salatiel became passionate about music at an early age, both out of personal desire and vital necessity. With his single “Fap Kolo”, he won the MTN Cameroon competition “Make The Music” in 2014 and quickly became one of the most important figures in the local young music scene. He belongs to a generation that is redefining the identity of Cameroonian music and winning over audiences across the continent. The show was a tribute to his musical hometown: Buea.

Salatiel, l’une des voix les plus emblématiques du paysage musical camerounais, revient avec un opus profondément personnel et universel, intitulé « Family Man ».

Ce nouvel album est bien plus qu’une simple collection de morceaux : c’est une célébration poignante de la famille et des valeurs qui la définissent, une œuvre qui témoigne d’une maturité artistique et d’une richesse émotionnelle rares.

Salatiel's second Studio Album is out...

After Salatiel’s debut album “ Africa Represented ” (2021) where very deep and strong messages of being African have been delivered, his second Album is a very personal composition of the worries as an African hustler. An African Family includes also distant family and people who support you. To love and care for all of these people makes a man work for them. Songs like “Hustle” or “ Ca va aller ” directly invite you to feel the rhythm of hustle and its worries. Salatiel said: “My songs are about love and hustle, caring and worry and it took me a while, to find the title for this album. I did not want to call it “love and hustle”, but when “Family Man” came into my mind, that was the one part, that connected all the songs I had put together.”

Salatiel performes live "Good Girl" in Haïti

Salatiel joined Rutshelle in Haïti to celebrate the singer's 10-year career at the El Rancho Convention Center. This event was broadcast on RTVC (Radio television Caribbean) and on the channel's social networks.

They performed their hit single Good Girl which was Nr. 1 in Haïti, Cameroon, and Top 10 in several Caribbean countries for several weeks at the time of its release in February 2021.

Salatiel is presenting himself to Ivory COAST

Salatiel recently introduced himself to Ivory Coast during his media tour in Abidjan from 15 to 21 March. He was invited to various TV and radio stations to promote his first album "Africa Represented" and to talk about his career.

During his media tour, Salatiel appeared on TV shows such as Trace Abidjan, Live TV with Willy Dumbo, Canal+ Afrique with Brice Albin, and NCI Showbuzz with Dj Mulukuku. He also spoke on several radio stations including Tribu Jam 99.3, RTI Officiel, Trace.fm Officiel, Life Radio 107.7, Radio Jam with Mikey, and Nostalgie with Yves Dembella Lion Versace.

Salatiel shared his experiences, insights, and thoughts on his musical journey, his inspiration, and the creative process behind his first album. Apart from promoting his album, Salatiel also had the opportunity to collaborate with the popular Ivorian producer, Bebi Philip, and connect with Edson David Tayorault. Stay tuned.

The artist and producer – Salatiel is today – has worked very hard to be seen and get to where he is today. Along the way, he has always opened doors for young talents who wanted to learn more about music, production and songwriting. Since 2021, the Alpha Better Records label and MTN have collaborated to seek out young talent and train them for a fortnight at the MTN Zik Academy. The second season started in 2022 with more than 800 applications. In December, after two intensive weeks of coaching and training with Salatiel, three winners were finally crowned. The winners will each record a song produced by Salatiel under Alpha Better Records and sponsored by MTN Zik Academy.

L'artiste et producteur que Salatiel est aujourd'hui a travaillé très dur pour être vu et arriver au point où il est actuellement. Tout au long de son parcours, il a toujours ouvert des portes aux jeunes talents qui souhaitaient d'apprendre plus sur la musique, la production et l'écriture de chansons. Depuis 2021, le label Alphae Better Records et MTN ont collaboré pour découvrir de jeunes talents et les former pendant quinze jours à la MTN Zik Academy. La deuxième saison a débuté en 2022 avec plus de 800 candidatures. En décembre, après deux semaines intensives de coaching et d'entraînement avec Salatiel, trois gagnants ont finalement été couronnés. Les gagnants enregistreront chacun une chanson produite par Salatiel sous le label Alpha Better Records et dont le parrainage sera assuré par la MTN Zik Academy.

Homage to the legend Petit Pays

The “High Man General” has already been the face of MTN. Since 2020, he has been the brand ambassador of the CUB, the Cameroonian Union of Breweries. With his song “Pelé”, released in 2022 in collaboration with Petit Pays, Salatiel pays tribute to this celebrity of Cameroonian music, while bringing together the old and new generation. At the 50th anniversary of CUB, Salatiel invited the Legend on stage, to give his song the blessing it deserves.

Le « High Man General » a déjà été le visage de MTN. Depuis 2020, il est l’ambassadeur de l’UCB, l’Union camerounaise des brasseries. A travers son titre « Pelé », sorti en 2022 en collaboration avec Petit Pays, Salatiel rend hommage à cette célébrité de la musique camerounaise, tout en reliant l’ancienne génération à la nouvelle. Lors du 50e anniversaire de UCB le 22 décembre 2022 à Douala , Salatiel a invité la Légende sur scène et pendant la performance il a donné sa bénédiction à Salatiel.

In 2019, with his title “Anita”, Salatiel won several awards.

For Best Male Artist in Central Africa at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), a ceremony created by the AFRIMA International Committee, made up of the five regions of the continent, in partnership with the African Union, to celebrate musical works, talent and creativity. During this ceremony he was also nominated in two other categories: Best Artist Duo or Group in African contemporary for “Anita”, and producer of the year in Africa for “Anita” and “Ne lâches pas” interpreted by his compatriot Daphne.

En 2019, avec son titre « Anita », Salatiel remporte le prix du meilleur artiste masculin en Afrique centrale, lors des All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), une cérémonie créée par le Comité international AFRIMA, constitué des cinq régions du continent, en collaboration avec l’Union africaine, pour célébrer les œuvres musicales, le talent et la créativité. Au cours de cette même édition AFRIMA 2019, il est aussi nominé dans deux autres catégories : meilleur artiste, duo ou groupe en contemporain africain pour « Anita », et producteur de l’année en Afrique pour « Anita » et « Ne lâches pas » de sa compatriote « Daphne ».
